HIGH PROFILE APPOINTMENT IN ROBOTICS
DAVE
WALSH has been appointed Sales & Marketing Director of Motoman Robotics (UK),
the Banbury-based subsidiary of Motoman AB, Sweden, which markets throughout
Europe the range of articulated-arm robots manufactured by Yaskawa Electric
Corporation in Japan.
Having spent the last 10 years as sales manager of a major competitor in the UK, Mr Walsh is ideally qualified for his new post. Originally from a welding background, he has extensive experience in all robotic applications including arc and spot welding, materials handling, assembly, spraying and machining.
On his new appointment, Mr Walsh commented, "Motoman is now the largest manufacturer of robots in the world, outstripping both ABB and Fanuc. It is also the number one global supplier in robotic arc welding, including in the UK. "Against this background, I am delighted to be joining the Motoman team. It is an exciting and vibrant company with real potential for further growth, in which I hope to play a key role."
